At Helping Hands Living Solutions, we make home accessibility upgrades — from stair lifts and wheelchair ramps to walk-in showers and grab bars — simple, safe, and stress-free. Our 6-step process ensures every project supports your goal of aging in place with dignity and independence.
Step 1: Your Free Phone Consultation
Call us at 618-900-6199. We start with a friendly conversation to understand:
- Who you are (senior, veteran, caregiver, or family member)
- Your mobility challenges or safety concerns
- Solutions you’re considering (e.g., stair lift, ramp, bathroom remodel)
- Budget and timeline
This is your no-pressure first step. We listen first — then guide.
Step 2: In-Home Assessment & Aging-in-Place Walkthrough
We schedule a visit to your home in Madison County or St. Clair County at your convenience.
During this free in-home consultation, we:
- Measure doorways, stairs, and bathroom layouts
- Assess fall risks and accessibility gaps
- Recommend customer-friendly, cost-effective solutions
- Answer questions about permits, financing, and VA benefits
We don’t just fix one area — we help future-proof your entire home.
Step 3: Detailed Proposal & Transparent Pricing
You’ll receive a clear, itemized Statement of Work including:
- Full scope (e.g., “Ameriglide curved stair lift installation – 12 steps”)
- Materials, labor, and permit costs
- Payment schedule (deposit + progress + final)
- Start date and project timeline
Sign digitally or in-person — we begin as soon as your deposit is received.
Step 4: Pre-Installation Prep (Behind the Scenes)
Our operations team takes over:
- Order custom equipment (ramps, stair lifts, walk-in showers, etc)
- Secure building permits (if required)
- Schedule our crew and gather the proper tools needed
- Brief installers with your walkthrough notes
We handle the details so you don’t have to.
Step 5: Clean, Safe, & Respectful Installation
Our insured, background-checked crew arrives on time and:
- Protects floors, furniture, and breakables
- Cleans daily and removes all debris
- Keeps you informed with progress updates
- Minimizes disruption to your routine
Your home stays livable — even during a full bathroom remodel.
Step 6: Training, Walkthrough & Final Sign-Off
When complete:
- We train you (or your caregiver) on new equipment
- Conduct a final walkthrough
- Address any touch-ups immediately
- Issue your final invoice and warranty info
Plus: Need changes? We offer fair, written change orders for unexpected needs — never surprises.
